Integrated Application Solutions (IAS)

Tekelec's Integrated Application Solutions (IAS) platform provides the tools service providers need to capture network traffic data and convert it into useful business intelligence for troubleshooting, managing traffic, roamers, and services, as well as revenues. With its powerful and configurable filtering, IAS sorts through the data to create comprehensive dashboards and reports for all departments within the service provider's company. IAS includes a comprehensive array of performance management and revenue management capabilities that provide reliable real-time or historical information based on network traffic. Following are the three IAS subsystems developed at SDE.

xMF Message Feeder

Data acquisition system used to capture the real-time telecommunication network traffic, which is subsequently sent for further processing.

IXP Integrated XDR Processor

Network traffic correlation engine that is responsible for assembling the network signaling units to the data records. This data serves later various purposes ranging from network troubleshooting to business intelligence.

NSP Network Service Platform

Web application platform hosting the applications used to manipulate the captured and processed data. Among the tasks that can be performed are system configuration, call trace examination, network alarm watch, network diagnostics.

COMCOL

COMCOL is a suite of re-usable C++ libraries, as well as processes and procedures available for use in Tekelec products. Many of its features are focused toward the communications area of software development, although its purpose is not intended to restrict its functionality to any particular area. It consists of

  • A real-time database
  • A set of telecommunications-related software packages (for example, real-time measurements, process management and scheduling).
  • A set of core facilities that are used to implement the above components, for example, error handling and logging, C++ container and "helper" classes, and object "wrappers" around UNIX system calls.
